Owatonna Public Schools Launches a New District Dashboard

In Owatonna, we are fortunate to have a community that demonstrates such a strong commitment to our schools and shares the district’s commitment to inspire excellence—every learner, every day.   We embrace a shared vision to inspire a community of learners with equitable access to high quality, innovative learning opportunities, ensuring all students are career, college and life ready.

To achieve this vision, it is important for all stakeholders, from teachers and leaders to students, parents, and the wider Owatonna community to understand our current reality and be able to monitor our progress.   We must collect and consider a wide range of meaningful data, and communicate that data with clarity and transparency so that we can effectively measure our success.

At the direction of the school board, the Owatonna Public School District has developed a new district dashboard to provide an up-to-date snapshot of our work in the four commitment areas aligned to our vision— 21st Century Learners, Safe & Caring Community, High Quality Teaching & Learning, and Equity.   The dashboard is designed to be easy to use and understand, drawing upon different types of data including attendance, enrollment, student and staff surveys, academic, and program data. The dashboard will be revised and updated on a continual basis as the OPS community works to track our work and progress in each commitment area.

We welcome you to explore the dashboard linked here and from the home page of our website.  Please share your comments and suggestions using the ‘Share your Feedback’ button on the dashboard homepage.
